OVHD Decoder (SingleView)

OpenView HD offers more TV channels for free, in HD, 24 hours a day OpenView HD is South Africa’s first free HD satellite TV service, with over 20 radio station and TV channels that offer endless exciting local and international entertainment – including music, movies, lifestyle & culture, learning, kids’ and religious programming.

Some channels are broadcast in full high definition. Plus, you get to keep your favourite SABC channels and enjoy e.tv in HD. With OpenView HD there are no contracts and no monthly fees, you only pay once for your dish and decoder, and enjoy more TV for free, forever.

StarSat HD Decoder

StarSat, South Africa is a subsidiary of the Chinese satellite television provider, StarTimes, operating in South Africa that began broadcasting on 1 May 2010. StarSat is owned by On Digital Media, who were granted a pay-TV license by ICASA in September 2007. On Digital Media is 20% owned by TV satellite operator SES and 20% owned by China’s StarTimes.

StarSat’s service is aimed at the LSM 6-9 demographic, targeting middle class viewers. Until 31 October 2013, the service was known as TopTV

XtraView

MultiChoice’s XtraView is a feature designed to enhance the viewing experience by allowing multiple DSTV decoders to be connected within a single subscription.

This enables users to watch different programs on different televisions using separate decoders, all while sharing the same subscription package and payment. XtraView is particularly popular in households with multiple TVs or different viewing preferences.

MultiView

MultiChoice has now made it possible for customers to watch different live TV shows in three Separate rooms at the same time.

DSTV customers can now connect three decoders using MultiChoice’s ExtraView service.

Unfortunately only certain Explora’s and Decoders can be used to enable MultiView.
